I think the redistricting and creation of East Dillon High is not a way to get additional state funding, but rather a way to get Tim Riggins three more years of high school eligibility.

Sixth-year senior Tim Riggins! No, I think they're all going to end up at San Antonio State--Coach Taylor as coach, Tim and Matt playing, and Julie and Lyla as students.
That would be Saturday Night Lights.
