Saw Slumdog Millionare last night at the Esquire. It was terrific. I would give it the Oscar for best adapted screenplay (it's based on a book called Q & A). The way the movie was told was fascinating. Parts of it were very difficult to watch; I would definitely call it gut-wrenching. I won't say too much about it because I don't want to spoil anything.
We capped-off the night with Chicken and Lamb Vindaloo at Ambar in Clifton.
I'll do an Oscars preview when the nominations are announced, so check back for that. We typically see all of the best picture nominations, but don't know if we'll make it this year.

Ledger is a shoe in for Best Supporting Male Actor for Dark Knight as Joker.
That's a guarantee at this point. Maybe they could bring Dwight, Creed, and Kevin in their Joker outfits to the ceremony since Heath is unavailable.
We just saw it tonight--LOVED IT, definitely a must see. Sean wants to know where the rest of your top 10 baseball moments are . . . . and I think he would like it if you could mention that the Yankees just signed the three top free agents (or is that not appropriate for this blog???).
The rest of the top ten are on the way. Don't be surprised if you see the trip to Yankee Stadium (1.0) on that list.
I've been working on a Yankees sign all the top free agents and everyone is whining post, but the blogosphere has mostly beaten me to it. But I do take requests, so I will get something up on that topic.
